The purpose of this site is twofold. First, to experiment with recreating a medieval 'illuminated manuscript' online. Second, to provide a more effective tool for researchers who are working on The Canterbury Tales.

Chaucer's voice belongs to the 'great conversation' of all ages, and I would like to see that it continues to be heard.
